Becky's Epilepsy | This is not a dream, but I thought it was worth noting what Becky said to me a few days ago describing how she felt during a seizure.
I is like being in a tiny room made of a very thin plastic sheet (like people put on windows when they're constructing buildings). Even gravity seems a little off while in this dark room. She can see through it, but can't communicate with the people on the other side. She even tries to reach out but she keeps hitting the sheet over and over again.
The other day she was seizing badly for over an hour and during it at one point I said to her "Becky, look at me, look at me" and she said "I just couldn't do it, and because I couldn't I thought I would never be able to ever again. I thought I would be stuck there staring forever." |

Yikes
Does she feel like that on every seizure? And she is truly aware and can recount both what she sees and hears, but can't interact?
Wow, not cool at all; I'd hate that.
Thanks for posting :) |
