 Hey all, my other 2 3/4 year old friend, Ziggy Stardust, died peacefully today after a long and full life. He will be missed by both of us; especially Rachel. He was "Momma's rat" (read all about it here). Ziggy was known for several things: Transporting: Whenever something sudden, scary, or loud happened; Ziggy would literally transport from where he was to the back of the nearest object. This was usually followed by.... Head-Weaving: Ziggy couldn't see well. Whenever Ziggy sensed danger, he would look for it with huge bulging eyes, and he would weave his head back and forth to get a better picture of what was going on. This reminds me, he had... Big Eyes: He had big black eyes, and he was also... Dad's Cheeseburger: I would pick him up and often try to eat him, as his colors reminded me of a giant cheeseburger. Later in life he was... A Bit Bald: In keeping cage order, Krycek took it upon himself to obsessively barber Ziggy in front of his ears and behind his eyes. This gave him an almost bald appearance. He was also the biggest, fattest, most original (he would often try things before Krycek would), and cutest rat we ever had. And like Krycek, he could leap from chair to chair, beg for food and come to his name (or stop and start weaving with the sharp use of his name), I'll miss the little guy, and again, I recommend rats to anyone who would want a loving pet!
